'Card Party' sneak peek, final part...

After a sell-out crowd of 24 people last month, SG's new Card Party class continues with the same concept...three teachers, three cards, three tags, three stations, and three totally different approaches to cardmaking.

Today, we're showing you the card and tag that will be taught by Stacey Atchley. This is one-third of the projects you'll be making in the class. Stacey's card uses a template, micro-mini letter stickers and Glimmer Mist.

This Card Party class takes place Thursday, October 13 at 6 pm. The fee is $15. To sign up, call 417-886-0440. (The class sold-out early last month, so if you want to enroll, I'd advise doing it quickly!)

Make three free cards at our 'World Card Making Day' festivities...

Here are the three free cards we'll be making Saturday during our celebration of "World Card Making Day." This national celebration honors the personal connection handmade cards create between you and your family and friends. It also kicks off the Christmas card making season!

We hope you can join us at 10, 11, 1, 2 or 3 on Saturday. You'll make the three cards shown above, and you'll be sanding, stamping, and using border punches. We'll provide everything, including adhesives, but if you bring your own scissors you'll probably be able to make the cards a little faster.

Even though this is a free activity, please call 417-886-0440 to register for one of the five time slots. This will let us know how many people to prepare for.

Hope to see you Saturday!
'Card Party' sneak peek, part two...

Today, we're showing you the card and tag that will be taught by Katrina Hunt. This is one-third of the projects you'll be making in the class. Katrina's card is made using a variety of punches (including an around the page punch!) and stamps.

This Card Party class takes place Thursday, October 13 at 6 pm. The fee is $15. To sign up, call 417-886-0440. (The class sold-out early last month, so if you want to enroll, I'd advise doing it quickly!)

On Friday, we'll show you Stacey Atchley's card and tag.

All final retreat payments due...
Just a reminder that if you are attending one of SG's fall retreats in Branson, your final payment of fees was due Sept. 21 for the first weekend and Sept. 28 for the second weekend, unless you had made other payment arrangements with us. Thanks for taking care of this!

'Card Party' sneak peek, part one...

After a sell-out crowd of 24 people last month, SG's new Card Party class continues with the same concept...three teachers, three cards, three tags, three stations, and three totally different approaches to cardmaking.

Today, we're showing you the card and tag that will be taught by Allison Davis. This is one-third of the projects you'll be making in the class. Allison's card is created from a sketch. You'll get a copy of the sketch to take with you, and you can use it again and again. You'll be surprised with all the different looks you can achieve, just by changing papers and color schemes!

This Card Party class takes place Thursday, October 13 at 6 pm. The fee is $15. To sign up, call 417-886-0440. (The class sold-out early last month, so if you want to enroll, I'd advise doing it quickly!)

On Thursday, we'll show you Katrina Hunt's card and tag, and later, Stacey Atchley's card and tag.

Let's celebrate World Card Making Day on Saturday...
What a great way to kick off the holiday card-making season! Join us as we celebrate World Card Making Day, a holiday that celebrates the creativity of handmade cards and the personal connection they create between friends and family.

In addition to the regular Super-Saver sessions we host the first Saturday of each month, we have another exciting activity planned for this Saturday, October 1. World Cardmaking Day at SG  is your special invitation to stop by Saturday and make three beautiful cards. For free!

Expect to use some fun tools and products to create your cards. We'll have a "card bar" set up and you can go from station to station to make the cards. We'll provide everything, even the adhesives!

Later in the week, we'll post photos of the three cards. Sessions will be held at 10, 11, 1, 2, and 3. Even  though this is a free activity, please call 417-886-0440 to register for one of the time slots so we'll know how many people to prepare for.

We're making a small change...
Right now, we are finalizing our last print newsletter. Our four-page every-other-month print newsletter will be discontinued after the October-November edition. Here are the reasons...

• We get a greater response to store activities from email newsletters than from the traditional print newsletter.
• We can provide more detailed information and more timely information, plus color photos, through this blog and through email newsletters.
• We will be saving time and eliminating duplicated efforts.

Since we realize that not everyone has access to a computer, we'll still have printed calendars available at the checkout counter each month.

The monthly calendar is always available in the left sidebar area of this page. We also plan to have it available as a printable PDF file, similar to the way you can print out sketches on the Sketch Support website.

We plan on establishing a regular pattern for the email newsletters, as a replacement. If everything goes right, we'll send one out weekly, usually on Sunday or Monday. These newsletters may have more than one topic, unlike most of the ones we send out now.

If you would like your email address added to our list, please send it to debbie@scrapbookgeneration.com.
