Crops for a cause...

I promised Cyndi Warnow that I would let our readers know about a series of benefit crops her Relay For Life team is hosting. All profits go to benefit the American Cancer Society, and the first one takes place in about a week.

The group is hosting crops on five Friday evenings from 6 - 11 pm: March 1, April 5, May 10, June 7, and July 12. They are requesting a $10 donation, and suggest that you bring a simple snack to share.

The crop location is the First Christian Church, 443 N. Main Street in Republic. RSVP to Cyndi Warnow by calling 417-299-5533 or sending her an email at cynthiawarnow@missouristate.edu.

Scrapbook Generation is donating a page kit and a sketch book as door prizes for each of the five crops.

Although we aren't involved as a store other than the donations, we totally support this cause, so we're happy to help spread the word for Cyndi and her Relay For Life team. Anything we can do to help fight cancer!

Thanks for posting. If I lived closer would definitely be attending some of these crops! Great cause!

Just wondering if you ever consider the CKC event in the St. Louis area, actually in Collinsville, Illinois...just across the river from St. Louis??? We have a group that drives to this event and would love to see you there!

I just was introduced to your store and kits through a crop in the Iowa area.... love you guys! We drive to the CKC event every year just to load up on great stuff!

We are talking about a road trip to Springfied just to see your store and love the kits!!!

Thanks for your time.

Glad you'll be going, Laura!

Patty: I'll take everything you said as a huge compliment! We did a couple of CKCs a few years ago, and while we would love to be there, it gets into the same reason we gave up retreats and our mega-crop - it's SO hard to pack, move, load, unload, repeat. The physical work involved is just too much for me/us, even when we can talk the guys into helping.

However, please keep watching the blog and Facebook, because we (almost for sure) have something coming up in May and possibly June that should fit right into what you want to do. Just as soon as it's definite, we'll make an announcement. Maybe we'll get to meet you then!
