Challenge #7: Color Challenge

Color makes life a little brighter...and it can do magical things for a scrapbook layout, too. One of the hottest color choices right now is ombre -- a French term meaning "shaded" -- with colors graduating from light to dark. For this challenge, choose one color and use it to create an ombre effect through papers, embellishments, or both, on a one- or two-page layout. It doesn’t matter if you make it bright or make it soft...just make it colorful!

• a rainbow assortment of colorful products
• one winner will be chosen at random

• two to three layouts will be selected and featured on the SG blog sometime in May

• in a comment on this blog post, link your layout (on your blog, in an online gallery, on Facebook, etc.)
• layout link must be provided by midnight (CST) on Sunday, May 5
• everyone is eligible to enter
• winner announced Monday, May 6
• if you are unable to link your project through any other method, send the layout in an email titled "Color challenge" to

This may be my favorite challenge as it really pushed me outside my comfort zone! I had lots of fun creating my own ombré though!!
